1Corinthians 12:27-31

Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.
(1Co 12:27-31 NKJV)

Do you have spiritual gifts? According to this chapter the answer is yes.

Do you understand what gifts the Lord has given you? If not then you should ask God to reveal to you what your gifts are.

If you ask your friends they might have already recognized them in you. This portion of scripture instructs us to desire the "best gifts".

But once you understand what your gifts are, the next step is to learn how to use them for God's glory and for the edification of the body.

Ephesians 2:10 says:
"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."
(Eph 2:10 NKJV)

God has already planned to use us in His work and He has given us the resources to fulfill His plan.

Now Paul is going to show us "a more excellent way".
